Department of Decorative Art
Since the very early days of the college, a one year certificate course in Decorative Art was offered alongside the degree and diploma courses. In this department students are trained to develop skills in various types of craft-oriented activities, like Batik, Tie & Dye, Wood shaping, Decorative Designs on boards, Vase painting, Terracotta works, Leather works, Block printing, Silk screen printing, Paper pulp works, Ornament making etc. For developing a sense of design, students are guided to study from nature and old master copies.
